To make your own, follow these steps: divide a large stretched canvas into three equal parts horizontally and vertically. Staple a ribbon to each part, attaching it to the back of the canvas. Apply iron-on appliqué paper to the wrong side of the fabric for the flower shapes. Cut out the flower shapes and iron on to the canvas – also from the back. Decorate your board further with a few embroidery stitches and buttons. Cut a block of polystyrene to fit snugly into the frame at the back for a neat finish. You can also add mini bulldog clips, thumb tacks or decorative pegs.
