Transform your living room with this handmade rug.
You will need
• strips of fabric remnants between 1,5 and 2cm wide (we used slightly stretchy arctic fleece fabric)
• 10mm crochet hook
TIP The longer the strips, the better. You don’t want to waste time joining strips.
Tension
For a 10 x 10cm block, work 7 stitches and 3 rows.
To join strips
To save time joining and fastening ends, place both ends along the top of the previous row for a few stitches and work over them with the new strip.
To crochet
Using a 10mm crochet hook, work 6 ch then join with a sl st to make a circle.
Row 1 Work 2 ch, 16 dtr into gap of circle, sl st to complete row.
Row 2 Work 2ch, [2 tr in next st] *, sl st to complete row.

When finished, wet the rug slightly (or use your iron to steam) and flatten on the floor. Leave to dry; the rug will settle completely over time.
