Fitted stool cover

Tired of your décor? Why not change it by covering it?

You will need
• printed fabric
• sheer fabric (for example, voile)
• matching thread

To make
Note All seam allowances are 1,5cm.

1 Measure the stool seat and then cut the printed fabric so that it is 13cm longer and wider than these measurements.

2 Mark and cut out a 10 x 10cm square at the four corners. Pin the two remaining sides of each square, right sides together. Sew and overlock the seams to form the four boxed corners.

3 Cut out the sheer fabric panels so they are the same width as the stool seat measurements and 8,5cm shorter than the height of the stool.

4 Hem the side and bottom edges of the four voile panels with an overlocked rolled hem.

5 Sew and overlock the voile panels to the bottom edge of the stool seat cover, right sides together. Press the seam allowance towards the stool seat cover and sew in place with top stitching.
