Coffee table

A round table becomes a graphic focal point when it is made over with a coat of blackboard paint.

You need
• wooden table
• universal or wood undercoat
• blackboard paint
• sponge roller and paint tray
• drop sheet
• sandpaper

To make
1 Sand the table lightly and wipe away the dust with a cloth.

2 Paint the table top with a layer of universal undercoat such as Plascon Universal Undercoat in white or an undercoat for wood, and leave to dry overnight.

3 Now paint on two to three layers of blackboard paint, leaving each layer to dry completely before painting on the next. Leave the table to dry overnight before using it.
