Clothes-peg magnets

Make these cute magnets to hold photos, invitations and notes on the door of your fridge.

You will need
• wooden clothes pegs
• self-adhesive magnetic sheet (or magnetic discs, plus suitable adhesive)
• colour pictures
• modge podge
• craft varnish
• artist’s paintbrush
• pencil
• scissors

To make
1 Trace the shape of the clothes peg on the back of the picture using a pencil, then cut out. Make sure the picture doesn’t protrude over the edges of the clothes peg.

2 Paint a coat of modge podge on the clothes peg and press the picture into place. Paint another coat of modge podge over the picture and smooth out with your fingertips. Now leave to dry completely.

3 Paint a coat of craft varnish over the clothes peg (we used Dala Hard Varnish). Leave to dry completely, then paint another coat, if necessary.

4 Cut a piece of magnetic sheet that’s slightly smaller than the clothes peg and glue it onto the back to complete.
